Hoje eu quero te mostrar uma expressão perfeita pra aqueles momentos em que… quanto menos gente souber, melhor: on the down low, ou simplesmente on the DL.
Sabe quando você precisa contar algo, mas só pra uma pessoa? Um segredo, um plano, uma surpresa… ou até aquele rolinho que ainda não pode virar assunto público? Então, é exatamente aí que essa expressão entra.
E olha só: se você tentar traduzir ao pé da letra, não vai fazer muito sentido. Mas no inglês real, do dia a dia, on the DL é a forma perfeita de dizer “em segredo”, “na surdina”, “bem discreto”.
